First Meeting
The Milwaukee Sewing Club had it’s first meeting tonight. We came together to have a little show and tell and to discuss what we’d like to do with the club. We have several people in the club and each brings something different. Some are new to BurdaStyle and some are veterans. We took a little time at the beginning of the meeting just going over some of the basics on the BurdaStyle site. We discussed Nikkishell’s Sew Alongs and thought it would be fun to do something along those lines within our club. We also talked about different places to purchase fabric.
Some thoughts for future club projects included sewing quilts for an international adoption agency (Sue), dresses for women’s shelters (Sue), Baby kimonos for local hospitals (Denise). In the end, we settled on sewing a handbag. Information about the project will be sent out later this week to the club members so everyone can gather their fabric and notions.

Hello jamie! Did you try the menu at the right? Try the “Join the Club” and you should be able to contact Karen from there. You may have already found it by the time I post this but I just want to make sure that you get in touch with Karen. Hope to meet you soon!
